The Shoreview-Einhausen Sister City Association keeps busy! Throughout the year we offer a
variety of interesting and fun activities that
everyone is welcome to at any time.
Not a Shoreview, MN resident? No problem! Our members reside in many areas of the Twin Cities
and we love checking out new places to have a good time and experience German culture.
As a participant of this sister city program, you'll have many opportunities to experience the culture of Germany and what makes our connection to Einhausen unique.
SESCA supports the mission of AFS-USA (formerly the American Field Service). They are a leader in intercultural learning and offer international exchange programs in more than 40 countries around the world!
If you know of a high school age student that might be interested in studying abroad, or if you are interested in hosting a foreign exchange student, check out the local AFS page here.
(The Shoreview-Einhausen Sister City Association is not affiliated with AFS.)
Meetings are generally held on the first Tuesday of every month @ 7pm.
Everyone is welcome at the SESCA monthly meeting! The Board of Directors and SESCA members plan upcoming events and discuss the nuts and bolts of the organization. We encourage you to participate and share your thoughts and ideas about our organization. There will be an open forum at the beginning of the meeting for public and member comments and suggestions. We want to hear from you!
Location: Shoreview City Hall, lower level.
SESCA aids local students and adults, as well as Einhausen residents, in finding private residences for stays of short duration.
SESCA offers a scholarship program for high school students interested in attending the Concordia College German Language camps located near Bemidji, Minnesota or participating in tours to Germany led by German teachers with home stays in Einhausen. Assistance via scholarships is at our discretion and requires a recommendation of a German teacher at Mounds View and Irondale High Schools only. Inquires for scholarships should be made at least 90 days prior to the program event.
