Call for Director Elections and Notice of Annual Meeting
The Shoreview Einhausen Sister City Association (SESCA) is seeking individuals who would like to join the board of directors of our all-volunteer organization.
SESCA is a non-profit sister city organization uniting people from Shoreview, MN, U.S.A., and Einhausen, Hesse, Germany. Our mission is to promote friendship and international goodwill by creating opportunities for all citizens of the greater Shoreview area to experience the German culture through a variety of social, educational, economic, municipal and cultural activities, with an emphasis on exchanges and personal interactions with the people of Einhausen, Germany.
Director Elections will take place at the annual meeting on Tuesday March 3, 2014, in the lower level conference room (Grass Lake room) at Shoreview City Hall. There are three director spots open. Board members typically volunteer to serve one to three year terms.
Please consider joining the Board! The annual time commitment is not significant. The SESCA board typically meets about 10 times a year, with other social, cultural and educational events during the year.
The following is the procedure for applying:
Qualifications: Directors must be members of the Shoreview-Einhausen Sister City Association (SESCA) in good standing and continue to be participating members during their term of office. They should have a desire and willingness to help the residents of Shoreview and Einhausen improve knowledge and consciousness of each other and understand each other as individuals, members of their communities, citizens of their countries and as a part of a family of nations.
Application: Please include a brief candidate statement outlining your qualifications, vision for SESCA and how you would anticipate being involved during your term.
Applications should be emailed to: by March 2, 2015.
Or via mail to: Bill Kiehnbaum, 4348 Nancy Place, Shoreview, MN 55126
SESCA does a great job of being a part of the community, both here in Minnesota and abroad.
I became a SESCA member in December 2013, and joined the Board in early 2014. I look forward to all that this partnership has to offer!
