Musikcorp Band Visit
The Shoreview Einhausen Sister City Association and the Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band announce the arrival of the Musikcorps Band from Einhausen Germany – July 2012
A longtime dream of the organizations has been to have members of the Musikcorps Band from our sister city in Germany visit Shoreview and participate in local events to foster building of personal exchanges and interactions with Shoreview area residents. This dream is about to become reality as a 40+ contingent from Einhausen arrives in Shoreview in July 2012.
The Musikcorps Band will perform with the Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band (SNLVB) at Benson Hall on the Bethel University campus. The joint concert is on Thursday July 26 at 7:00 pm and is free and open to all.
While here, the Musikcorps Band will march in the Slice of Shoreview Parade on Saturday July 28 and will perform on the same day with the 451st Army Band at the Slice of Shoreview.
“Groovy, lively, fiery" is the motto of the musicians of the orchestra “Musikcorps der Freiwiligen Feuerwehr Einhausen” ( "Music Corps volunteer firefighters Einhausen"). Their music is a mix of cool arrangements, a lively sound, and fiery concert experiences with a mix of pop, classical, rock and traditional.
Please plan to join us at Benson Hall on Thursday July 26 and at the Slice of Shoreview on July 28 to enjoy the music.
